2025 Goals
Happy New Year, friend.
I wanted to take some time to dive deeper on the goals I've set for the new year with a hope that some of this process will help or inspire you to take a closer look at your own goals. One note, I'm sharing this a few days into the new year, but I think it's really important to acknowledge that goals can be set at any time.
Literally at any time you can take a pause and set a new goal. Change your path. Redirect if you need to.
With all that said, let's talk about goals.
The idea that you have to do something different to get different results has really resonated with me as I look ahead to 2025. In 2024, I wasn't as visible as I would have liked, so that's a priority for me moving forward.
I can’t say I didn’t meet my goals in 2024 because I’m not sure that I wrote down solid actual goals for the year. Here are mine for 2025 for Britt Does Social:
✅ $100k in my business (not counting sports things)
✅ daily IG / threads posts and engagement
✅ keep my newsletter, podcast and blogging schedule, getting me to 100 of each for the year.
✅ 5 outreach activities per month including being a podcast guest, blog/freebie swap, IG Lives and bundles
That $100k is absolutely a stretch, but I've done the math to be able to ramp up my income each month to hit that $100k by the end of the year. And it really feels like a cliche number, but it's one that works math wise to address expenses living in southern California.
As far as non-business goals are concerned, I'm working towards:
✅ 3 trips this year (hopefully one to see MuppetVision 3d before it closes, one to get my partner to New Orleans for his birthday, and one more)
✅ Finish the LA Marathon in March
✅ Read 24 books
Another phrase that's really stuck with me is "you can be a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time," and I'd love to embrace more of that this year. I'm working towards making decisions like I'm already that person making $100k and running a marathon in just over two months. I've started calling myself a runner because that persona helps me make the right decisions. Runners hydrate enough, runners stretch, runners run their short training runs as well as their long runs.
I've also been applying that same mindset to being a business owner. Business owners talk about their business and do outreach, business owners make tough decisions.
All of this to say, I'm ready to be a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same damn time this year, celebrating my progress while having my eyes set on the goals ahead.
